The next empanada empire to watch out for

Hooray for another #QuickEats discovery at the recent UP Fair 2016! 

Amid the hype atmosphere, no matter how fun or exciting the concert gets, there's always one call you can never reject: the call of hunger. Lol. It was almost midnight, and my friends and I just wanted a light snack to keep us alive until the last band performer. 




And there I’ve found the fresh cutie KUKIS EMPANADAs. I tried their Tuna flavor and my friends had Pork Adobo and Ham & Cheese. What we liked most about Kukis Empanadas is their extra-cheese twist in all the flavors we had. Plus, they were all siksik! So every bite gives that complete empanada taste :)




For the diet-conscious but wants to try empanada, worry not 'cause Kukis Empanada’s are half baked-half fried (means less oil!). 




“Kukis” means “I want” in Bahasa. According to one of Kukis’ owners, Dennis Uyaco, (yup, he was there!) their aim is to combine the Indonesian and Filipino (also American-ish) savor in their empanadas. He said further that they're soon going to release more flavors! Looking forward, more power!
